Within the framework of the MEMORANDUM of cooperation (January 7, 2025) between the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “FIFTH CHERKASY CITY PRIMARY HEALTHCARE CENTER” (director – Mykola TARASOV) and charitable entities led by the Non-Governmental Organization “Assembly of Disabled Persons of Cherkasy Region” (Chairman of the Board – Oleksandr DIHTIAR) regarding the creation of a modern BALNEOTHERAPY REHABILITATION CENTER, since May 1, 2025, through the efforts of caring benefactors and activists, the renovation of the Pool premises has begun. As of today, the following has been completed:
- equipping a technical room (16 m2) under the pool on the first floor of the building, where the main technical modules are concentrated: water purification, heating, and circulation for the pool
- dismantling of the “old” drywall from the walls in the pool area
- restoration and plastering of walls and window slopes
- filling niches with foam blocks (about 10 m2)
- installation of tiles on the window slopes (16 m2) and laying tiles on the walls (80 m2).
At the meeting of the initiative group involving activists and builders, the interim results (as of July 4, 2025) of the completed renovation works were summarized. The meeting was attended by:
- Oleksandr Dihtiar – Chairman of the Board of the NGO “Assembly of Disabled Persons of Cherkasy Region”
- Serhii Kutsenko – entrepreneur
- Vadym Kutsenko – head of the charitable Foundation
- Ihor Korsun – entrepreneur, representative of the Rotary Club
- Liubov Protsenko – representative of the Department of Healthcare and Medical Services of the Cherkasy City Council
- Artem Stepanenko – serviceman.
The meeting participants discussed pressing issues regarding the next steps in conducting the renovation works, organizing informational and media support to attract potential partners and collect donations, and recorded a corresponding video message.
